From April 22nd 2013 charities and sports clubs will be able to enroll to make gift aid repayment claims online.
Feedback from charities has led to a streamlined, quicker service to take the administrative hassle out of claiming the gift aid portion of charitable donations.
110,000 charities and CASCs have been contacted and advised of the move.
Small Donations
Any charitable donation made in cash, of up to £20, will be allowed to claim the gift aid portion without a gift aid declaration from April. This is limited to up to £5,000 of small donations per year.
