Some of the tax code info out of date eg 20/22% tax rate
Paul Lewis - 07/04/2011 21:02:10As the tax calculator can calculate for years going back to 2003, the basic rate percentage is shown as both the 20% and 22% historic figures. This only shows in the tax code notification box and we will update it to give the exact percentage soon.

the government say that all tax allowance will go up by 1000 but over 65 only 500 why
Jm Langelier - 06/04/2011 16:42:27I'm not sure about the quoted £1,000 increases being across all age bands, but the rates and allowances are the official figures as published by the Treasury and HMRC.

I do not pay NHI so just deduct from net total?
Jackie - 01/04/2011 15:03:47Jackie, by NHI do you mean National Insurance Contributions? If so, please tick the 'No NIC' box when entering your details. If you are using the wizard, it will detect from your date of birth whether you should pay NIC's or you can enter your income into the NIC Exempt Income box. Hope that helps.
