Chris B - 01/07/2013 22:51:55On the income tax calculator or salary calculator you can select the Self Employed / CIS option. Alternatively, you can use the Multiple Income or UK Tax Wizard to enter your income details.

53261 pays 2,207.56 NIC, less than 51511 which pays 4,244.86 NIC. Please fix!
Jarrad - 09/06/2013 14:53:24For the 53,261 calculation you have used NIC Letter B, but for the 51,511 calculation you have used NIC Letter A. The national insurance contribution on Letter B should be less than A.

I am on a pension hence I pay no NICs can these be removed from the calculator for retired persons.

How about SIPP plans? These are like extra pension contributions. Makes a difference towards the tax you pay
