Charity deduction, tax on dividends

Paul Kenneth Bolding - 22/03/2017 07:50:50

Payroll Giving has been added to the payslip calculator and wizard. You can adjust the single income calculator for pre-tax payroll deductions like payroll giving by entering a minus figure in the 'allowances/deductions' input box. For example, for an annual payroll giving amount of 200, enter -200. There is also a standalone calculator for Gift Aid.

Please add a NI slider for those of us that don't pay it. Also add charitable gifts.

There is an option for 'No NIC' on the single income calculator and you can enter NIC exempt income into the multiple income calculator.

Your calculation assumes tax free dividend is still £5,000, however for 2017/18 it has already reduced to £2,000 please ame

The tax-free dividend for 2017/18 is still £5,000. From April 2018, the dividend allowance will be reduced to £2,000

When are you going to do a windows/android app?

Rob Vanston - 04/02/2017 22:53:18

An app is in the works and will be available soon on both app stores in time for the new tax year (April 2017)

Your tax calculator is incorrect if your gross income is above £100,000 then your personal allowance of 11,000 goes to zero

Adil - 03/02/2017 12:08:48

The personal allowance is tapered by one pound for every two pounds over the 100,000 limit. The personal allowance is only zero for incomes at or over 123,000.
