HMRC Launches Helpline To Offer Support For Victims Of Flooding

A freephone telephone helpline has today launched to help people who have been affected by the recent flooding. Primarily set up as a support line for people needing advice regarding taxation where the floods have caused issues with the following:

  • Monetary hardship causing issues with meeting payments or payment deadlines.
  • Notify HMRC of lost or damaged business records.
  • Any enforcement or collection proceedings can be suspended for people affected.
  • Penalties can be cancelled and timelines extended.

The number to call is 0800 904 7900. Lines are open from 8am to 8pm weekdays, 8am to 4pm on weekends.
